Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital

Daler Mehndi wants to fight the deadly disease as cancer head-on. Apart from researching the ancient scriptures, ayurveda and regular forums with ayurvedic peers, he is trying to find a permanent cure to this deadly disease.

In 1997, He performed in Lahore and Karachi to raise funds for the Hospital run by his friend Imran Khan raising Rs. 17 million through the concerts.

In 1998, Daler Mehndi performed for Shaukat Khanum again and helped raised Rs. 20 million from his immensely successful shows at Dubai, Manchester and London. These proceedings from the concert performances were donated to the Shaukat Khanum Cancer Research Center and Hospital. Not only that, he also managed to inspire in his fans a similar passion, with many of them donating at the spur-of-the-moment, ready to part from the cash and jewellery they were carrying with them for people suffering from Cancer!

Daler’s war with cancer doesn’t end here. He recently performed in Pakistan (Lahore and Karachi) to help raise Rs. 50 million for the Shaukat Khanum Research Center that provides cancer treatment to patients for free. “I will continue to provide my services for this fight against cancer”.
