The entire city of Secundrabad was flooded with banners, posters, hoardings of Daler Mehndi welcoming their favorite Pop Star who was to perform at the finale of a week long festival organized by the AP Government to mark the Bicentenary anniversary of the City of Secundrabad.

"I was overwhelmed with the love that Secundrabad and Hyderabad showered on me. From the Airport to the venue it was as though the entire city was opening their arms to welcome me. It's strange - they don't understand my language (Punjabi) but they love my music. The Crowd comprised kids 2 years old to women and men above 70 years of age and All were dancing. It was also interesting to see the ministers dance. This reaction is what makes your head bow down to the Grace of God and to the ocean of love of your fans. I told the organizers to put at least a Kg of fevicol on each seat 'coz I 'm going to give them a concert to remember for the rest of their lives. My God and my fans - their blessings helped me achieve that. You know when you
think of your humble beginnings, then your struggle and then you see 70,000 to 100,000 fans - a crowd that doesn't understand your language and a stage which awaits you - it is a little scary but performing Live gives you great satisfaction. My performance is Extempore so it's a little unnerving for my group 'coz they have no clue what I'd be upto BUT they are a team of musicians to wreck with. I am grateful to God for giving me such a team - they are par excellence- and are my world. I am also thankful to Durga ji and her team who organized the event. It is  a great honor to be a part of such an Historical Event and I thank all my fans, the organizers, sponsors and the Government for having me amongst their celebrations." Daler Mehndi.
